Today was absolutely gorgeous. The youth group decided to walk to 7-11 to get slurpees as our evening activity. It is so nice to just go out into nature and appreciate the beauty that God has given us in this world. Too often, we take it for granted.

There is something so completely comforting about going home to the neighborhood I grew up in. The smell both outside and inside the house brings a peace that is unexplainable.

Today was one of those days where I did not feel like sitting in the apartment. So, I headed to Target where I walked around for 2 hours. It was glorious. I like shopping by myself, just walking around and picking up very little to buy. Except in the dollar spot...I get into trouble buying cheap things there.

Anne's friends from college are in town. We took them out last night and they were pooped after we left the club. Good times were had by all!

I woke up at 7:15 this morning to drive home after an amazing weekend with my best friend in Wichita Falls. I love Easter, and the sunrise this morning really gave me a few moments to just sit in peace and awe at the beauty that God has provided for us and that surrounds us all the time if we are willing to pause and really take it in.
