Day 61

This is another picture looking out my window. It is covered in raindrops.

The parking lot outside my building flooded tonight because of all this rain.

My car had water up to 1/2 in below my door.

Luckily, my car started and I was able to move it to higher ground.

A car parked in the visitor spots had water up over the hood...

no good I tell ya...no good at all.

Completely worn out after a grueling test.

Feeling small and dumb because I don't think I did well at all.

Wanting nothing more than to lay in bed and look up at the ceiling.

It really was amazing how much more color there was this week at Turner Falls. These purple trees were my favorite, and they were scattered througout the park.

Day 54

Went camping again in Turner Falls this weekend with 11 friends. Seriously, this group of kids amaze me and challenge me every time we're around each other. Good kids, and they certainly like to play! So yes...campfire again...woo.

I'm OCD in many random ways.

This, oddly enough, is one of my favorite ways to be crazy.

My clothes must always be in this color order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, black, grey.

I literally cannot put a shirt out of place. If I do, even if I've shut my closet door it bothers me so much, I go back to my closet to fix it.

I've been working on this particular piece for almost a year now...halfway there. Maybe I'll have it finished by this time next year.

I love the fireplace at Kerry's house. They never use it for fire, so it just sits there unchanged by time, the candles always looking pure white. I want a fireplace...but I'd use it, not just let it be decoration.

My mouse is the coolest ever. It changes color every few seconds. People who sit around me in class like it because they like to watch it. Obviously classes are very stimulating if people are watching my mouse more than my prof.

Had dinner with my parents. We grilled out then mom and I went to marble slab and sat outside in the great weather while we ate our ice cream!

Had a migraine today and could barely get out of my bed for a good 4 hours. Lots of fun I tell you. This my friends...is my saving grace!

We hiked for a long time down to the waterfall, sticking our feet in the cold rushing water was completely refreshing! Then, our second night was another fantastic sunset! I'm glad I go back to Turner Falls in a couple weeks!

I couldn't pick just one from my first night of camping.

I love camping. Being in nature, just completely disconnected from everything except God. There is something magical about sunsets away from the city, sitting around a campfire singing along as someone plays the guitar. Life is simple and beautiful out there...sometimes I wish it was always that way.

Tomorrow I go camping...hard to do when you don't own a tent or a sleeping bag.

Here is my new sleeping bag...is fairly awesome, and its red. That makes me happy.

When I hang out with my friends in Flower Mound, I often drive home late at night and the roads are empty except for a few scattered cars. I find solace in the time alone with God to reflect and listen out on the open roads. The world goes by so fast when we don't take time to stop and listen...
